I've Never Swabbed The Poop Deck

We had a pretty fun day and it needs to be documented!

We started out going to Sine - this great Irish Pub in Shockoe Slip. I had an omelet which wasn't bad but next time I'm definitely having the fish and chips. We celebrated RaRa's birthday with sugar free cookies and some sass. We were all floored when Jeremiah said, "I need some whiskey."

Wow...that kid has spunk!

Jeremiah fell asleep in the car while we drove around Carytown looking at the neat buildings and shops.

Then we went to the movie theatre and Jeremiah saw his first movie on the big screen!

He was very good through the movie (in fact all the children in the theatre were). Jeremiah was scared of the "cheese curls" and "rock monster" but he liked the pirates and if you were sitting right next to us you probably heard a lot of "Aargh!"

I myself was slightly disappointed because I love the theme song "The Pirates That Don't Do Anything" and they didn't play the song until the very end of the movie and then they cut it short and went into a different song.

We saved Jeremiah's ticket to put into a scrapbook so that he'll always remember his first trip to the movie's!

Christmas 2007

Our routine changed slightly this year which I think was a good thing. The past two years we weren't able to really enjoy seeing Jeremiah open his gifts because we were trying to open our own at the same time.
This time the adults opened their gifts on Christmas Eve, so Christmas morning was dedicated to watching "The Baby" (we still had our stockings to go through on Christmas morning).

I hope we continue this way until Jeremiah is a little bit older and can understand how each person opens a gift and then the next person and so on until there's only one person left on Present Island.

Dinner was yummy however I got sick and was unable to participate in the new tradition of playing Facts In Five.

Things seemed simpler this year and I really liked that. There was only one thing we didn't get to do that I missed and that was our afternoon walk through Colonial Williamsburg. We'll always have next year, Lord willing.
